Reminiscing and Sensory Stimulation with Nursing Homes throughout Northeastern Ohio

Dementia Friendly LIFE partners with nursing homes to give seniors sensory-stimulating activities . During these visits, we take life-like baby dolls to nursing homes, play popular music from an earlier time, and provide baby lotion to the seniors so they are reminded of happy times.

Giving to Friendship Animal Protective League

Dementia Friendly LIFE held an event where seniors and their caregivers created blankets and toys to give to the Friendship APL, helping those living with dementia to give back and participate in the community. Crafting and creating helps keep fine motor skills working, and the communal aspect of working together to give back gives seniors a sense of purpose.
